HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference 2014
The HPC Advisory Council and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) will host the HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference 2014 at the Aula Magna de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Cantabria in Santander, Spain on September 24, 2014.
The conference will focus on High-Performance Computing essentials, new developments and emerging technologies, best practices and hands-on training.
The conference will focus on the following topics:
• High Performance Computing systems
• High Speed Networks
• High Performance and Parallel I/O
• Communication libraries: MPI, SHMEM, PGAS
• Advanced topics / Technologies / development / the road to Exascale
• GPU computing, CUDA, OpenCL
• New HPC initiatives and programs
The conference will bring together system managers, researchers, developers, computational scientists, students and industry affiliates for cross-training and to discuss recent HPC developments and future advancements. Please make sure to register early to ensure your seat at the conference.

The HPC Advisory Council is a large eco-system organization which focuses on bridging the gap between high-performance computing use and its potential, bringing the beneficial capabilities of HPC to new users for better research, education, innovation and product manufacturing, and brings users the expertise needed to operate HPC systems, provide application designers with the tools needed to enable parallel computing, and to strengthen the qualification and integration of HPC system products. The HPC Advisory Council will be presenting at the conference, as well as distinguished speakers from the HPC research organizations and vendors.
